Easy Homemade Ginger Ale to Relieve Pain from Inflammation & Migraine

As you may already know, inflammation is one of the main triggers of ache in the body and in most situations, it is an autoimmune response. Not knowing how to reduce it can be problematic, especially when we are talking about migraine. This is why in today’s article we decided to share how to naturally bring relief from this strong headache without exposing yourself to the dangerous side effects from over-the-counter pain killers.

The Power of Ginger

Did you know that ginger can help you put an end to the discomfort and reduce the pain associated with migraines? Namely, ginger ale, which has a bit stronger taster, can lower inflammation with the help of its beneficial ingredients like vitamins A, B, C, and E, as well as magnesium, phosphorus and zinc and sodium, beta-carotene, and calcium.

The electrolytes in ginger, i.e. the sodium and magnesium, can help restore the electrolyte balance in the body which can be disrupted and cause migraines. The healing will also be enhanced by the gingerol in ginger which has anti-inflammatory characteristics.

How to Make Your Own Ginger Ale

Homemade ginger ale is always a better variant than the store-bought versions which are often filled with a lot of sugar. Here is what you need for the preparation:

1 ½ oz. of grated ginger

1/8 tsp of active dry yeast

Healthy sweetener

7 ½ cup of filtered water

2 tbsp of lemon juice

Preparation: Warm up half a cup of water and add the ginger and sweetener. Cover the content and remove it from the stove. Leave it to steep for an hour and then strain the content and leave the strained mixture to cool down. Then, transfer it in a 2-liter bottle and add the water, yeast, and lemon juice. Close the bottle and gently shake it. In 48 hours, check for carbonation. Keep the ale in the fridge.
