What Did the Experiment Show?

Dr. Kuo used a pill-size camera inserted in the stomach with the goal to find out the effects of instant noodles on the digestive tract. After several hours, the noodles were still intact, which can lead to a long list of side effects. This is because these noodles are filled with additives like TBHQ, which is known to be a by-product of petroleum and a synthetic chemical with antioxidant characteristics (it does not possess natural antioxidant properties. It will impede the fat and oil oxidation and it is added to instant foods to prolong their duration. It is also found in McDonald’s chicken nuggets, Red Baron frozen pizza, Teddy Grahams, and many other foods. It is also present in cosmetic products, perfumes, and pesticides.
