The New Moon in Leo that happened two days ago it’s starting a 29.5-day Lunar cycle and a new energy for the new month.
This cycle will also include an Aquarius Full Moon on the August 15th. The Mercury Retrograde may have come to an end; but, this period can still feel like a retrograde because of the presence of complications or insights.
A Period for Growth
In the next two weeks, there will be a lot of forward movement associated with some of the insights, developments or issues that have occurred in the month before.
This moon cycle also follow Eclipse season- therefore, be aware that the energies of the previous eclipses are still affecting this period and the following months.
For a lot of people, they may have been much stronger during the month of July. Since July 22nd/23rd, we’ve been in Leo season and this new moon will bring its energy additionally.
Being a fire sign, it’s linked to instinct, passion, assertiveness, confidence, spirit, and inspiration.
On the positive side, Leo is all about creativity, affection, influence, authenticity, generosity, and heart centredness. Leo is the leader, the creator and the performer and looks to find joy in expressing itself in these ways.

New Moon next to Venus
The new moon is next to Venus that’s in tight trine to Chiron and square to Uranus. It was the most accentuated from July 31st to the 2nd of August.
This being said, there may be some healing energy around love, values, relationships, finances, and feminine energy. But, it may also be a period of separation, rebellion, instability, and surprises in social situations and other things related to pleasure and fun.
This period is a great time for new connections of trying out new stuff that we could enjoy. It’s a period which will bring a lot of clarity and how you’re viewing some aspects of your life with things pertaining to Venus.
Uranus Is Going Retrograde
The current retrograde of Jupiter will finish on the August 11th and as this is happening, we may be more clear about themes that were strong in April when the retrograde begun. This includes faith, travel, education, media, marketing or philosophies.
The Venus and the Sun in Leo in a trine with Jupiter from the 6th until the 9th of August may trigger hope and optimism and a period of luck for some. The period from the 8th to the 9th of August, it can be of financial, social or romantic benefit.
