Brave Man Saving Drowning 400-lb Black Bear Is Possibly One Of The Greatest Rescue Stories Ever

Though the bear from the popular cartoon Masha & the Bear may not seem intimidating at all, in reality, bears can be quite scary because they’re very big, have sharp claws and teeth, and can be very fast.

And, black bears are in particularly intimidating- they can grow up to 6 feet and weigh between 200 and 600 pounds. They’re very common in the US, but live in the forest, far away from civilization.

However, when this black bear appeared in Florida and was seen walking on the streets, all of its residents were very concerned.

The bear was seen in the neighborhood in Alligator Point and wildlife officials knew that the only option was to shot it with a tranquilizer and bring it back into the wild.

However, things went south once they released the dart!

Bear Begins to Panic & Goes into the Ocean

When the bear was shot with the tranquilizer dart, it became very confused and panicked. In all that panic, it went into the ocean and swam out further into the Gulf.

This is when Adam, one of the biologists on site decided to take things into his hands and jumped right into the ocean to help save the bear. The bear couldn’t move its legs due to the tranquilizer and couldn’t swim.

So, the biologist needed to swim around 75 with a 400-pound bear to reach the shore.

Although the bear was struggling to keep its head up, Adam didn’t give up. He somehow managed to get it out of the water.

Luckily, he only had a couple of scratches. He definitely did such an amazing, heroic act and he’s a wonderful person.

When the bear was brought to the land, the team from the Osceola National Forest used a bucket of a tractor to transfer the bear back into the forest.

Yes, Adam is definitely the hero of the day!
