Sandra Bullock Has Quietly Been Donating $1 Million Every Time There’s Been A Disaster

Hollywood star Sandra Bullock made the headlines back in 2018 when she gave half a million dollars to Red Cross after the California fires. But, this isn’t her sole donation- she’s also given $100,000 to the Humane Society of Ventura Country, California.

The recognized actress said about her donations that the untold destruction from the fires is shattering, particularly after the tragedy at Borderline in Thousand Oaks.

She said she’s happy she could help and thinks everyone is family in this, regardless of whether we’re human, furry, or feathered.

Bullock’s Humanitarianism Is Amazing

The Ocean’s 8 lead has been giving money to charities for a long period of time, but hasn’t been that recognized from media in her charity work.

She’s helped in the building of clinics to personally giving finances to an aging pool manager at the Beverly Hills Hotel because he was struggling with money.

After the disastrous 09.11, the actress, and other celebrities too, did a lot to help the people in need. During a telethon that aired on more than 30 TV networks, 8000 radio stations, and online, she was one of the first to donate million dollars.

In 2004, the Indian Ocean earthquake killed around 227,898 people in 14 countries and the highest number of victims was in Indonesia. Bullock then donated $1 million.

Also, in 2005, she also gave $1 million after Katrina; a Category 5 hurricane affected several states in the US and took the lives of more than 1,500 people.

She’s also donated to Doctors without Borders, Warren Eason Charter High School that was destroyed by the hurricane Katrina, and to the Art + Practice, a private foundation supporting the local foster youth’s needs, and more.

Indeed, she deserves more recognition because of her humanitarian work and definitely, every other celebrity should follow her example!
