Baking Queen Wows the Internet with Simple Recipe for Red Velvet Brownies

One video from an amateur baker on Instagram Eloise Head showed her followers how to easily make red velvet brownies.

This video quickly went viral and numerous people said this was her best recipe ever.

The 26-year-old foodie, the founder of FitWaffle Kitchen, an Instagram page for decadent desserts that take only several minutes to prep, collected more than 5400 likes on the last video.

The video shows the amateur chef from London whipping up a batch of brownies with basic ingredients like butter, eggs, sugar, flour, and chocolate chips with food coloring to make the treats ruby hue.

Let’s learn how to make these stunning red velvet brownies at home.

Red Velvet Brownies Recipe

You’ll need:

170 grams of unsalted butter, melted

260 grams of sugar, granulated

A large egg

1 egg yolk

A tsp of vanilla extract

Red food coloring

200 grams of flour

10 grams of cocoa powder

½ tsp of lemon juice

90 grams of chocolate chips, white

For the icing:

115 grams of butter, softened

225 grams of cream cheese

A tsp of vanilla

500 grams of icing sugar

Prep:

Whisk the melted butter and sugar before adding the egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and food coloring. Mix and add the flour and cocoa powder. Fold in everything gently.

Add the lemon juice and white chocolate chips. Make sure they’re evenly spread throughout. Transfer the mixture into a baking tray with parchment paper.

Bake at 160 degrees C for half an hour.

To make the icing, whisk butter and cream cheese and add the vanilla and icing sugar. Sieve them in gradually. Spoon it onto the cooled brownies and smooth it out.
