89-Year-Old Best Friends since Age 11 Move into the same Nursing Home to Be near to each other

Olive Woodward and Kathleen Saville are two 89-year-old ladies who’ve been best friends since the 40s when they were only 11.

Recently, they moved into the same nursing home in England to spend their elderly days together. Throughout their lives, the two besties never lived more than 10 minutes away from each other.

They were only shortly apart when Saville came to live in the Berry Hill Park Care Home in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire first. But, Woodward followed suit shortly after.

Best Friends Forever & in Heaven

Woodward says that if she’s unhappy or in trouble, she goes to Kathleen and they always end up laughing together. Being able to see her friend every day has had such a positive influence on her well-being.

Saville notes that unlike other people who’ve known each other for decades, the two of them almost never fight. She believes this is the key to their lasting connection.

Seville also explained that they knew they would always be best friends since the moment they met. Woodward means so much to her, she added.

And, she also explains she knows they’ll be friends too after their time on this Earth ends. She said that if her friend goes first, she’ll come back to get her and they’re going to be together in heaven.

The two besties already have their nicknames at the home; they call them the dynamic duo.

Sally Tebbett, the manager of the care home, says how they never stop giggling and chatting. Their connection is so endearing and shows how genuinely they love and care for each other and it’s clearly visible.
