DIY Vegan Candy Apples for Cozy Halloween Evenings

You’ll need:

200 grams of pure cane sugar

3 tbsp of water

2 apples, red

2 apples, green

16 lollipop sticks

Chocolate chips, sprinkles, and chopped nuts (for decoration)

Prep:

Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring it over medium heat. Cook and bring to boil. Cook until it becomes medium brown in color, around 5 to 6 minutes.

Then, remove the caramelized sugar from the heat and leave it to cool down a bit.

In the meantime, slice the apples into 4 slices and cut all the way through. Take out seeds and put a stick into each apple slice center.

Then, one by one, coat each slice in caramel while it’s still warm. Wait for the excess to drip off. If the caramel is too thick for glazing, reheat it a bit.

Top the glazed apples in the decorations and put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool down.

Once they cool down, serve and enjoy!
