95-Year-Old Widowers Found Love in COVID Times & Got Married

The wedding bells rang for the most unusual couple: the 95-year-old John Shults and Joy Morrow-Nulton who’s also 95.

The best thing that came out of the pandemic, say the newlyweds, is their marriage.

This unique couple is showing others that we’re never too old to make a commitment for life.

Finding Love again Was Important for Both

Despite being widowed twice, the newlyweds wanted to find love again; however, this wasn’t the easiest quest. Before their vaccines, their dating life happened mostly in a bubble.

John says Joy was worth it, although it was a pain in the neck to keep the relationship going during all those lockdowns and social distancing.

Pete, John’s son said how the two were calling each other every day and they managed to find a way to stay together and did what was necessary.

The happy couple says they returned to the simple pleasures of life: took long drives nowhere, batted balloons in the house, and were being selfless a lot.

John jokingly said how Joy’s much richer than he is so she bought him a walker. He said ‘$159 I think. I told you she had the money. She did have it until she bought the walker.’

But, John also managed to buy something to Joy.

The Marriage Question Popped Up Several Times

John had to ask the question some dozens of times before Joy said yes.

She actually said ‘ok’ and added she finally accepted when they had snow days and she didn’t see him and missed him.

The knot was tied in a small ceremony with their closest ones attending.

Congratulations John and Joy, you’re a true example that love knows no age!
