A dog that paints and sells his art?-Yes please, just take our money!
Hunter is a 7-year-old Shiba Inu that loves to spend his free time painting. Believe it or not, the dog even has a successful Etsy store.
According to one of his owners, Denise, Hunter loves painting and she feels like he’s communicating with them through his unique art.
Hunter is a dog that loves challenges and interacting with his owners. He’s quite vocal about what he likes and what he dislikes, says Denise.
Hunter, the Dog that Paints
Denise explains that as a puppy, Hunter had a lot of energy. Although he’s now older and a pretty relaxed dog, it wasn’t always the case.
From a young age, they taught him different tricks and the usual ‘sit’, ‘stay’, and ‘paw’.
Eventually, they ran out of tricks and this is when they came up with the idea to teach him how to paint. And so they did.
Today, Hunter’s art can be bought on Etsy and people worldwide are hanging his paintings in their homes and offices. All of this gives a special meaning to his art.
Denise adds that it’s really rewarding seeing other people enjoying his art. And, Hunter loves it too.
A Stubborn Dog with a Creative Side
Shiba Inu breed is not the usual breed. In fact, they’re really stubborn and want a lot of exercise, attention, and action. Although a stubborn doggo, Hunter’s creative side is coming through too, explains Denise.
It’s maybe this mentality that gives Hunter the necessary drive and discipline to paint. He loves learning new things and painting is something that stayed with him since he was a puppy.
He prefers the abstract style and uses a palette of colors to create his paintings. Until now, he’s made more than 300 sales on his Etsy and customers have given his art a 5-star review.
