Man Loads His Truck with Food & a Grill to Help Kentucky Tornado Victims

This man did his part to help the people hit hard by the Kentucky tornadoes. He drove to Mayfield and set up a grill and cooked food for the people there, plenty of who have lost their homes and their loved ones.

He drove for 30 minutes with the grill and plenty of food in his car and parked in the middle of Mayfield. The man, one Jim Finch, said how he knew that these people had no electricity which meant no stoves, no restaurants, and no running water.

He decided to do what he can: show up with water and food. His amazing effort was praised by the public and people on social media were amazed by his kindness. Jim Finch brought light to the horrific panorama of destroyed buildings.

He has a warm heart and his act of kindness helped fill up stressed-out people’s bellies, people were saying.

Mayfield Was Devastated by the Horrific Tornadoes in Kentucky

This city was devastated by the tornadoes. The governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, said that there were more than 100 people in a candle factory when it collapsed down. This is the largest place of loss.

Beshear estimated that 40 people have been saved from this factory. Unfortunately, more than 60 people died and more than 100 are still missing.

Joe Ward is one of the men who didn’t survive and worked at the factory. He started his job several weeks ago to save money and buy a house for the eight kids they had with his girlfriend.

Kyanna Parsons-Perez is another worker from the factory, but she survived. She told the media that it was very scary because it all happened too fast.

They all went into the area where they go in case of storms when the light started flickering and then they felt the wind. Her ears started popping like when you’re on the plane.

Although this is a major tragedy, some glimmers of hope were there. In addition to the kind Finch, the carving of Michelangelo’s The Last Supper at their First Christian Church remained intact, although the entire building was destroyed.
