Tunnel to Towers Foundation Pays Off the Mortgages of the Fallen First Responders to Honor Them

The five mortgage pay-offs are part of the Season of Hope organized by the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

It celebrates the holiday season by delivering mortgage payoffs and mortgage-free homes to the families of fallen first responders, injured veterans, and Gold Star families throughout the country.

This year, the foundation pledged to pay off 65 mortgage-free homes between the period of Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.

Helping the Families of those Who Fought for Our Freedom & Safety

According to the CEO of the foundation, Frank Siller Chairman, these selfless heroes answered the call of their country and their communities. They’re superheroes, brave men and women who did everything to keep others safe at home while being abroad.

He’s more than honored to express their support to the families that gave up so much so that others can enjoy freedom and safety today.

US Marshals Service Senior Inspector Jared Keyworth passed away on October 1st, 2021 after he was injured in a crash while helping a law enforcement mission in Mississippi. He served Ii the US Army and was tabbed to escort the riderless horse at the funeral of President Ronald Reagan.

Keyworth left behind his wife Crystal and their two children. His wife says that she has peace of mind because her kids will be surrounded by so many memories of their dad. For her, the foundation is light and hope in a challenging time in their lives.

Tyler Weir, Montana Air National Guard Master Sergeant, and Cascade County Montana Search and Rescue Team Vice Commander died in a crash together with his son in March 2021.

They were going back to Great Falls to assist with a rescue mission when they were hit by another vehicle.

Weir’s wife and two other kids were also injured in the crash. His wife, who’s also a member of the same search and rescue team, says that staying in their home will help keep her husband’s memory.

Offering Support for more than Two Decades

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Season of Hope is their culmination of the anniversary events.

They delivered 135 mortgage-free homes throughout the country and the 65 homes in the Season of Hope contribute to a total of 200 homes for this year.

This foundation honors the sacrifice of FDNY Firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on 9/11. For two decades, the foundation has been offering immense support to first responders, veterans, and their families by providing mortgage-free homes.
