In 2017, a stray dog who was very afraid and skinny began appearing near a gas station in Tamaulipas in Mexico and the staff decided to do something about it and help him out.
The dog showed signs of abuse and the staff had to work a bit harder to gain his trust. However, he soon started trusting them more and they decided to take him in.
The caring staff fed the pup, gave him a good bath, and also took them to the vet where he got all of the shots. According to the owner of the gas station, Gerardo Aguilar, they adopted the canine and he’s been living on the station ever since.
All of the workers care for him and he adores them all. They named him Randy. No one could’ve guessed that this sweet puppy would pay them back for their kindness.
Randy Saves the Staff of the Gas Station from an Armed Robbery
One evening, two armed robbers attacked the gas station and demanded from the worker on duty to open up the office where the money is kept.
They started to assault the worker by punching and knocking him to the ground. Randy who had been sleeping in the warehouse of the station felt the commotion and immediately rushed inside the station and started barking at the robbers and actually drove them away.
The heroic act was caught on the gas station’s camera.
Thanks to Randy, the robbers were gone before you know it. Aguilar said that they were surprised by Randy’s reaction but still very proud of him. He added that if it weren’t for him, no one knows how the situation would’ve ended.
When He Is Not a Hero, He Puts Smiles on Customers’ Faces
Randy is a grateful dog, says the staff.
When he’s not busy helping others and being a hero, Randy is there to make customers happy. One of the frequent fliers there Nuria Arellano says that she goes to that station mostly because of the cute resident doggo.
She is hopeful that others will be inspired by his rescue story and also help another stray dog. Indeed, Randy is proof that having a dog on your staff has multiple benefits for your business!
You were a very good boy Randy! Good job.
