Recently, rapper J. Cole went to a Rowan University graduation ceremony after he promised a fan whom he met almost ten years ago that he would certainly be there.
After this ceremony, the super fan of J. Cole and college graduate Cierra Bosarge shared her happiness with the community with photos of the 37-year-old rapper and herself in a cap and gown posted on her social media.
She captioned it:
“This is for all the fans that waited, the bitch n_____ that hated, old h___ we dated, look, mama, we made it”, referencing the lyrics from one of the rapper’s songs titled “Nobody’s Perfect”.
Back in 2013, Bosarge contacted J. Cole while he was on a radio show and expressed how she wanted to have the rapper wish her a happy birthday.
J. Cole Did Not Just Attend Bosarge’s University Graduation Celebration
Three months later, she got a call from the rapper himself and he invited her to meet in person. When they met, Bosarge gave him a letter which she had written years before. The letter told J. Cole everything that Bosarge went through.
She was adopted and her parents were drug users who went in and out of prison. At the time she wrote the letter, she had asked J. Cole if he could attend her high school graduation since they couldn’t.
After reading the letter, J. Cole informed her that he would come if she applied to a four-year university, which she did. At the time, he also fulfilled his promise and was a proud attendee at her high school graduation!
Feeling the Love Is All I Need, Said Bosarge
When Bosarge graduated from university, J.Cole was there again to celebrate this important achievement together. Bosarge said that she felt the love and this was everything she needed.
The manager of J. Cole, Ibrahim Hamad, also praised Bosarge on Twitter by retweeting her tweet that said: “I’m front row crying at my graduation ya’ll”.
Hamad wrote congrats to Bosarge and added that she deserves it!
Rapper J.Cole was born on a military base in Germany and raised in North Carolina. He initially rose to fame as a rapper after the release of his debut mixtape in early 2007 titled The Come Up.
