At one Regions Bank location in Fort Smith, the employees noticed that there was a cat stuck in their ATM.
So, their call surprised the firefighters when they called them for assistance one Thursday morning.
Thanks to the proper and fast reaction of the firefighters, the kitten was safely removed from the ATM and then transported to the local shelter where he also got a new name.
However, it remains a puzzle how the kitty got into the machine in the first place.
Kitten Rescued from an ATM Is Named Cash
According to a vet tech from the shelter where they brought Cash, the kitten they rescued and later named, Alexis Bloom, the kitty was probably looking for shelter when he somehow got wriggled inside the machine.
The little bull of fur got its interesting new name from the staff from the Fort Smith Animal Haven.
The photos shared by the Fort Smith Fire Department on their Facebook page show the officials dismantling something looking like an outdoor ATM drive-through.
Not the Only Case of a Cat Stuck in an Odd Place
Cats are known to hide and get inside weird places. So, Cash isn’t that much of a surprise if we consider there are other unusual cases.
For example, one kitten was caught in a Walmart soda machine and an employee noticed him. The kitty was rescued by Morristown firefighters.
Some claim that the kitten was later named Pepsi.
