Without doubt, store-bought body lotions come in all kinds of scents and textures and we love applying them to our bodies and smelling nice for the whole day. However, these products are not as good for us as advertised, mostly because of the numerous chemicals and toxins present in them that can damage the skin and impede our overall health.
According to experts, the most harmful ingredients that you can come across the most commonly-used body lotions are fragrance or parfum which stands for hormone-disrupting phthalates, benzyl alcohol which is carcinogenic, and PEG-100 stearate, which also exhibits carcinogenic properties.
With this in mind, it is a far better and safer solution to opt for homemade lotions that are made with organic ingredients and protect your health and well-being and that of your loved ones!
