Keanu Reeves’s Tragic Life Story
At the age of 3, Keanu’s father left his family and he spent his teenage years switching through four different high schools. On top of that, he was also struggling with dyslexia.
Though he eventually graduated, he lost his best friend at the age of 23 due to a drug overdose. Then, he lost his first child because of a miscarriage and his partner because of a car accident. Though it seemed as things could not go any worse for him, they did. His sister was diagnosed with leukemia. Luckily, she recovered.
Nowadays, in addition to having a successful actor career, he is also helping those in need. He is often described as a down-to-earth and humble individual with a lot of love for other people.

His Dedication to Humanitarian Work
Though he regularly helps those in need, he is not the type of person to make a public relation stunt from his generosity. Recently, it was discovered that he had been secretly financing children hospitals.
Back in 2009, he told one journal that he had a private foundation which helps children’s hospitals and funds research on cancer; however, he does not want his name mentioned. He just wants the foundation to do what they do.
He has also donated to the charity SCORE which was formed after the spinal cord of a UCLA hockey player was crushed. Moreover, he has also negotiated a reduction in his payment on some movie projects like The Devil’s Advocate so that the projects could hire big stars like Al Pacino.
For him, money is not happiness and he does not connect enjoyment with money.
