Photographer Catches Rare Moment of Squirrel Stopping to Smell a Flower

Even if you’re a squirrel, sometimes, you just need to stop and smell the flower.

And, when this ground squirrel stopped to enjoy the beautiful smell of the yellow flower, a professional photographer was there to capture this amazing moment on camera.

The squirrel approached a yellow daisy in Vienna, Austria and Dick van Dujin, 34-year-old photographer from Netherlands, caught this on his camera. He made this popular photograph which quickly went viral after being published.

A Trip He’ll Remember Forever

The 34-year-old photographer recalls he needed two hours and around 200 takes before making the amazing photograph. The other photos show the cute squirrel holding the daisy, then closing its eyes and appearing as if it’s inhaling the beautiful smell.

Dujin also pointed out that from what he could see; the squirrel appeared to be looking for the flower with the best taste. It was very curious and cute and he was genuinely happy he could make this into a forever moment.

The photographer from Netherlands travelled to Austria to photograph ground squirrels. And, for sure, he will always remember this trip.
