A friendly and cute dog named Negao may not be the most typical petrol station employee; however, he’s definitely the cutest one.
But, things weren’t always going smoothly for the cute pupper.
5 years ago, Sabrina Plannerer and her partner bought a Shell gas station that was under construction in Mogi das Cruzes in Brazil.
This is when Sabrina found the adult dog roaming around the building site.
He was abandoned by a previous owner and was scared to leave. The couple decided to help.
Couple Adopts Negao & ‘Employs’ Him at the Petrol Station
They adopted the dog and got all the things they needed to take good care for him.
They took him to the vet for vaccines and deworming and purchased him a dog house, food, and a leash for his walkies.
Moreover, when the petrol station started working, they even employed Negao!
And, his employee badge proves his role as commercial in the petrol station!
Happy Dog Makes Excellent Customer Service Employee
At first, Sabrina wasn’t certain if Negao would fit in well with the bustle of business in the area he’s calling his home.
However, right away, the dog proved to be a natural at giving world-class customer service. Plus, he does all of this with a smile on his face.
Negao is there when people arrive and says hello and wins them over with his charm and wagging tail.
Sabrina claims customers love seeing him and some people even bring him toys.
Though the dog enjoys being a greeter at the station, he’s also regularly walking through the town for exercise.
Sabrina or some employee from the station makes sure he gets the needed workout.
Already Popular & Winning over People’s Hearts
Since he’s quite the good boy, Negao is a poster dog for a local initiative of the FERA charity group that wants to pair needy stray dogs with business in case of being unable to find a more traditional home.
A spokesperson for the FERA said that it’s been amazing to encourage people to show more respect towards animals.
Plus, employees love having four-legged colleagues.
Sabrina also hopes that Negao’s story will empower other institutions and workplaces to hire a canine in their staff.
After all, who doesn’t want to be greeted by a beautiful four-legged friend while pumping gas?
