Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Donated $1 Million to Food Banks to Help With Coronavirus Relief

One of the most famous couples in Hollywood is helping feed the people in need during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds pledged a million dollars to two different organizations which will use the money to help elderly and families with low income.

These organizations are the Feeding America and Food Banks Canada.

These groups of people, according to the Twitter accounts of the couple celebrity, have been highly affected by the virus.

Reynolds advised people to take care of their bodies and hearts and to call people who’re isolated and are in need of connection.

We Are in This Together, Said Lively

Lively wrote on her Twitter that love will rise up from this and we’re already seeing communities stepping up- they’re helping shop for the elderly and make lunches for children.

The actress also said we can all do something for each other, even if it’s just staying home.

The couple is joining the growing number of celebrities who’re donating during the crisis in the fight against the coronavirus.

Celebrities Are Making Donations to Help in the Fight against Coronavirus

For example, pop star Rihanna donated $5 million to organizations in the forefront of the fight whereas several NBA players pledged paying the salaries of the workers from the arenas who were left without their jobs due to the closing of this year’s season.

Last month, Justin Bieber said on his Instagram he’s made a donation to a Chinese charity for relief efforts. Tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer have also pledged donations.

Organizations are also helping- Disneyland decided to donate surplus foods from its resorts to food banks whereas the fashion mogul Donatella Versace said that together with her daughter, she’s donated 200,000 Euros to the ICU of a hospital in Milan.
