With the summer on our doorstep, it means more warm nights spent outdoors and afternoons relaxing on the porch are going to happen, right?
The topic of get-togethers with friends and family brings us to this wonderful DIY pergola and fire pit design. It’s the brainchild of Lauren Ashworth of the Little White House Blog.
It’s a structure ideal for backyard setups of your dreams-it has all the things you need-a movie screen, a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, built-in bar, porch swings, and a pergola.
Lauren describes it as an outdoor oasis and a place where the main purpose is bringing family and friends together.
It’s the ideal conversation piece and it’s ideal for relaxing, stargazing when the day ends.
How Was the DIY Pergola & Fire Pit Setup Created?
Lauren, together with her husband Brett, made the project from scratch with only $2,300 in a period of two weeks.
If you want to make your own, but if you’re a beginner in building, you may want to skip the several steps by buying several of the outdoor staples that Lauren upcycled.
The couple really thought about everything when making their outdoor dream oasis.

The guests can sip drinks and munch snacks on the bar, they can stock firewood in the area for storage, and film fans can screen movies on a sheet that’s hung over the frame.
And, the finishing amazing touch is definitely the outdoor lighting.
How to Make Your Own Spectacular Backyard Pergola with Swings
If you want and if you can, you could make your own even more wonderful by putting a cement or stone foundation and adding a covering to ensure there’s shade during the hottest summer days.
You could also place a stock tank cooler for treats and drinks. This beauty will be up and running for your summer festivities.
