Unfortunately, three young brothers had been separated from one another; however, thanks to a lesbian couple living in Massachusetts who adopted them, they’re now all back together.
The couple, KC and Lena Curie, have been married for 5 years and they adopted the oldest of the brothers, Joey, who’s now three back in 2018 after they had met him at an event that was organized by the non-profit, Children’s Friend.
Only one year after, in November, on National Adoption Day which is celebrated on the 23rd of November, the couple also adopted the boy’s younger brothers, Logan, 2 and Noah, 1.
An Amazing Family Where Love Is the Most Important Thing
The happy couple said that the boys often call them Mommy and Mama and a lot of times, you can even hear Joey saying ‘hey mommy-mama’.
After they adopted Joey, they were contacted by Children’s Friend that the boy’s younger brother, who was then only 6 weeks old, was also without a family. The couple recalls how they immediately said yes.
Only a month later, they got a second call from the organization about the boy’s middle sibling, Logan, who was living with a foster family at the time.
He was supposed to be adopted by this family; however, the arrangement broke off and in the last minute, the boy was left without a family.
So, the couple was asked if they have interest in reuniting all the three brothers.
How Did the Couple Feel about the 3 New Family Members?
The couple explains that this was a gut feeling and they would always say yes as keeping them all three together was pivotal for them.
They also added that when they mature and begin to ask questions, they’ll also have each other to lean on and experience things united and together.
It was a wonderful feeling for them and they now feel like a complete family.
The director of the adoption at the Children’s Friend, Veronica Listerud said that this situation is what you want to see happening and added that they make such a wonderful family-flexible, understanding, and know the importance of sibling connection and its impact on the children.
