Although she’s been on this planet shortly, 4-year-old Lula Beth has already experienced so many challenges. But, she’s fighting back.
The wonderful girl was unfortunately diagnosed with Wilms tumor-a type of children cancer in the kidneys.
The tumor was almost the size of a football and it had to be taken out with surgery, along with the kidney.
And, after the surgery, she had to undergo 13 chemotherapies in a period of 22 weeks.
This little hero was brave enough and went through it all with the support of her family. When she got a cancer-free diagnosis, her mother decided to celebrate it in a special way.
Mother Helps Daughter Celebrate a Cancer-Free Diagnosis with a Photo Shoot
Kristin Bowden is Lula’s mother and she’s also a photographer. So, she came up with a wonderful idea to celebrate the girl’s cancer-free diagnosis.
She told the world she’s cancer-free using 4 simple words ‘It came. We fought. I won.’
She shared the photos of the sweet Lula on her Instagram because she couldn’t contain the joy for her daughter defeating cancer!
For the celebratory photo shoot, Lula wore a beautiful orange dress and had a matching head band.
She held a small board which had the special date written on it and the ‘It came. We fought. I won.’
Sweet Lula Is the Light of Our Lives, Says Her Mother
Her mother said that they never expected this news to happen to them and it’s sad and heartbreaking when it happens. But, her little girl got through all of this and remained the light in their family that she is.
People who commented on the post said that they’re beyond happy seeing the sweet Lula doing well and being happy. Many called her the ‘little warrior’. We definitely agree-she’s so brave and looks so happy now!
We’re sure this family will remember this special moment forever and Lula probably came out of it braver.
Congrats!
