Seal Pup Won’t Leave Rescuers Who Removed Plastic Wrapped around its Neck

Ocean Conservation Namibia is really doing an awesome job-they rescue seals that are entangled in waste like plastic packaging or fishing materials.

By freeing the animals, the organization plays a pivotal role in bettering the quality of life of so many seals.

In a recent rescue mission, two of the team, Naude and Antoine, split up in order to catch seal pups with plastic around their necks.

The first one had a thin piece of plastic so tightly wound that it caused a deep cut in its skin. Luckily, the wound was clean so when they removed the plastic, they safely released the seal.

The next one was patiently waiting in its net-they managed to cut the packaging fast and unzip the net to let it go back into the water.

But something else happened instead!

Seal Doesn’t Want to Leave Its Rescuers

The baby seal didn’t want to leave the people that rescued it despite nothing stopping it. It stayed there looking amazed by the men that saved it. The look on its face is beyond cute.

But, after a couple of pets and some encouragement, the seal finally went to join its family.

It’s a wonderful feeling to know that these seals can now live a life free of plastic entanglement. If you want to see more of these rescues, you can check them out on the organization’s YouTube channel.
