This scared Amazon delivery driver was forced to leap over the fence of a customer in California while making a delivery in order to escape from a dog that just wanted to say hi.
The Amazon driver pulled up to one house in Temecula and didn’t notice the ‘beware of the dog’ sign on the gate. The CCTV shows the worker strolling carelessly towards the front door.
Suddenly, he’s seen sprinting back into view before he vaulted the perimeter fence of the house like he’s on the Olympics. Behind him, the 180lb English mastiff is seen running up to the fence and wagging his tail.
Amazon Driver Manages to Escape
The 3-year-old dog then turned away from the fence while the driver is seen smiling while catching his breath. However, Winston had nothing but playful thoughts.
Winston’s owners, Meredith who’s 51 and an animal health saleswoman and Allan, 56, a real estate agent, said they were shocked- they couldn’t believe what was happening and how high he could jump.
When they realized no one was hurt, they laughed at the situation. But, they weren’t fully aware of what was going on.
Meredith was taking out trash out of the front door and the dog just ran out.
She didn’t know what happened as they can’t see the gate from their door.
She wondered why the delivery guy was on the opposite side, panting and smiling! She told him that Winston is a big and friendly dog and apologized if the dog scared him.
This is when they decided to check out the CCTV to see what really happened.
Winston May Be Big, but He’s a Cuddly Sweetheart
Although he weighs 180 lbs, Winston is a lap dog, a big softie, and quite athletic for an English mastiff, explain his owners.
They also said he’s a real sweetheart. Still, they’re happy no one got hurt. The CCTV video was shared on social media and it was viewed more than 5 million times.
One person wrote that this is awesome and said jokingly that the delivery guy probably had a heart attack. Another one says he made the fence look effortless and wonders if this is a part of an Amazon driver’s training!
