Wall-E, the Dog which Was Abandoned at a Shelter with His Bed & Toys

Wall-E was just a puppy when he was adopted from the Maricopa County Animal Care and Control back in 2015.

The lab mix’s new family brought him in their home, cared for him, and spoiled the once-homeless-dog with an abundance of treats and toys.

However, one day, Wall-E found all of his things put into two plastic bags and out of his home.

The 6-year-old dog was unable to understand why he was driven back to the shelter in Arizona or why his owner was saying goodbye covered in tears.

Wall-E felt he was being left again and he looked heartbroken.

Why Was Wall-E Abandoned once Again?

The situation in the family that adopted Wall-E changed and they were no longer able to care for the dog as well as he deserved.

Jordan Bader, who runs the Facebook page for MCACC’s adoptable dogs, said that Wall-E was too scared and continuously barked in his kennel.

He couldn’t have all of his toys and bed in the shelter kennel and was depressed and confused-this was so much different from his previous comfortable life and the people who promised to love him forever.

Although some of the potential adopters couldn’t see behind his defensiveness, the staff from the shelter knew that this was an amazing sweet dog, waiting for someone to try getting to know him.

He loved playing zoomies with the staff and behaved sweetly. He spent two months in the already-crowded shelter, no closer to a home than the day he was brought back into the shelter.

Bader Comes Up with a Great Idea to Help E-Wall

Bader decided to tell Wall-E’s story and help him find a forever home. They had prepared a photo they agreed to share on their adoption page.

They knew that the photo would break people’s hearts and get attention-but they never knew it would get so much interest.

Soon enough, one Lynn Lee decided to visit the shelter and meet the dog in person.

Lee also took her dog with her-the pair got along so well that only a day after Wall-E’s photo was shared online, he was already on his way to a new home.

Bader says that the dogs get along very well-Wall-E loves his new family, going to the dog park, and cuddling with his owners.

Thanks to his new momma, Wall-E’s personality is shining and as you can see from the photo below, he’s definitely getting well adjusted to his new bed.
