When it comes to the ideal family, there are plenty of things you can do to help make one.
And, people who adopt children are definitely worth the praise because they do their best to create happier children.
But, adoption processes aren’t easy, both for the parents-to-be and the children. The process ensures the two sides are as compatible as they can be so it takes time.
The process was also long for this lesbian couple who wanted to adopt three little boys who were separated, but they say it was all worth it!
Lesbian Couple Adopts 3 Brothers so They can be Together
The lesbian couple from Massachusetts successfully adopted the 3 brothers younger than 4, helping them grow up together.
The same sex couple KC and Lena Currie first adopted the 18-month-old Joey during an adoption event hosted by the Children’s Friend in hopes to make a sweet family.
But, soon after, the couple got a message from the adoption center that informed them the youngest brother of Joey was also looking for a foster home.
The couple decided to adopt the 6-week-old baby too. And, the third one came after they got another call from the organization to inform them that the boys’ other sibling Logan was also in need of a long-term home.
The couple decided it was in everyone’s best interest to keep the brothers together. So, they took in the third brother as well, despite another foster family applying as well.
The most Amazing Family
Veronica Listerud, the director of the Children’s Friend adoption and family services was amazed by the couple’s willingness to take in the brothers and raise them in one family.
She added how they’re a wonderful family who perfectly understands the children’s needs and the importance of maintaining the relationship between siblings and the permanent influence this has on them.
The couple married some five years ago and met the first child Joey in Worcester in 2017 and then adopted him the same year.
They’re joyful to be able to raise the three brothers together and to celebrate holidays together, as well as spend time enjoying dance parties, school, sports, and all the fun things which are yet to come.
