Employee Who Kicked Out Gay Couple for being Affectionate Fired by His Manager

This restaurant worker who scolded a gay married couple and asked them to leave the restaurant after being affectionate with each other has been fired.

Nelson Ayala and James Brown Jr. came to the La Isla Cuchifrito restaurant located in the Bronx, New York and were placing their food orders.

However, they were shocked when one of the employees asked them to leave when they hugged affectionately in front of her.

In a video that the couple took during this incident, the worker is heard saying ‘man, woman’ repeatedly in Spanish. She also told them that her family has ‘different customs’ and asked them to leave the restaurant ASAP.

Despite this employee repeatedly asking from them to leave, none of the remaining employees did it. One of them actually agreed with the couple that his colleague behavior is out of line.

We Didn’t Go to the Restaurant to be Judged, Says the Couple

Brown Jr said that it’s mind-blowing to be kicked out because of their sexual preferences.

Ayala added that who they love shouldn’t define where they could shop or eat. They came to this restaurant to get food, not judgment.

The couple cancelled the order right away and also demanded refund from the restaurant. Moreover, they filed a complaint in the local police and following it, the restaurant issued an apology.

Restaurant Issues Official Apology & Fires the Employee

The apology, according to the restaurant owners, is the sincerest possible and they also offered the couple a free meal.

They also stated that the employee who kicked them out was let go after the incident was reported.
