Mom Finds Her Missing Child Using a Tik Tok Trick She Thinks all Parents Should Know

Thanks to this TikTok video, a mother managed to find her young son after he disappeared while they were shopping in Kmart.

The mother and son who live in the Hunter Region of NSW, Australia, were shopping there when the 2-year-old boy was suddenly gone.

The mother immediately alerted the staff members that her son Nathan was missing and asked them to not allow anyone with his description to leave the store, even if they were with an adult.

She then started to search for racks and was calling out his name. And, this is when she remembered something she saw on TikTok.

A TikToker, Jess Martini, shared a video that went viral where she explained that you shouldn’t look silently for your child when you lose them, but rather shout their description.

The mother did exactly this and was constantly explaining her child’s looks to people around.

She told everyone ‘I’m missing a little boy-he’s wearing a yellow shirt and has brown hair. He’s 2 and his name is Nathan’.

She later said how doing this caused an instant change in the people. It’s good she helped them understand her loud and clear. Soon, she had every adult in the store on alert and were all looking for the boy as well.

This is when a man found Nathan. He was okay. Everyone in the store was so happy the child was found.

In the viral video shared by Martini, parents commented their own ways of protecting and keeping their children safe when out in public.

One wrote ‘may sound a bit crazy, but I told my daughter that the automatic door at the store would eat her if she leaves with any other person but me’.

Another one added that ‘when I worked in retail, one of the security guys told me to always remember the shoes. If a child is stolen, they usually don’t change the shoes’.
