This Town Gifted their Pizza Deliveryman with a Car for His 30 Years of Service

If you’ve ordered pizza from Pizza Hut in Tipton, you’ve probably met Robert Peters who delivers them. He has worked there for 31 years.

Some people know him better as Mr. Smiles. Because, every time you see him delivering pizza to your door, he does it with a smile on his face.

A long time customer Tanner Langley says how she’s never seen him without a smile.

Mr Smiles Gets an Amazing Gift from His Community

6 months ago, Peters had some problems with his 28-year-old Oldsmobile and he mentioned it to Langley.

Langley decided to help him out right away and launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to buy him a new car. They had a $12,000 original goal which was met only after a couple of days.

Towards the end of the week since the campaign was launched, there were more than $18,000 collected. And, with this money, Langley surprised Peters.

She bought him a 2017 Chevy Malibu. When he saw the car, he said that this is luxury for him. Besides the car gift, his community also covered the costs for registration, plates, and insurance.

Peters Is beyond Thankful for His Loving Community

Peters said that what Tanner and his community did is going beyond call of duty and that it means so much to him that people did it.

Besides a new car which he’ll now drive with pride, the community also managed to give him a big tip, i.e. $2,500.

Amazing people, don’t you agree? What good deed did you do today for your community?
