The exposure to smart meters’ EMF radiation has reportedly caused lots of unusual and unknown health issues.
A lot of the diseases caused by EMF radiation have no name. People who’re reporting them complain that they’re losing interest in life and losing their zest, joy, and enthusiasm.
They also say they feel anxious and depressed, but that they’re not sure about the cause of their unusual symptoms. Some claim it could be their exposure to smart meters.
These electronic devices record the consumption of electric energy in intervals and then communicate the information back to the utilities that perform the monitoring and do the billing.
Thanks to smart meters, there can be two-way communication between the central system and the meter. Nowadays, a lot of states and other countries globally are using these devices to record the usage of electricity and water.
Unfortunately, many smart meter users complain of being overcharged and seeing irregularities in their utility bills.
After the installation of the smart meters, they complain of astronomical bills, even though they’ve not used more electricity than they did before the meter was installed.
The Sings of Smart Meter EMF Radiation Exposure
According to utility companies, these devices are safe; however, there are studies indicating that these meters expose users to high EMF radiation that is associated with changes in human biological functioning.
The WHO classifies wireless radiation as a 2B carcinogen based on studies associating the radiation from phones with brain tumors. In the Bioinitiative report that was updated in 2012, almost 2000 papers were reviewed by 29 international scientists from more than 20 countries on the effects of electromagnetic fields.
Here’s the list of reported symptoms (new or worsened) in 318 users after exposure to wireless utility meters in the US:
49 percent-sleep problems
43 percent- stress, irritability, and anxiety
41 percent- headaches
38 percent- ringing in the ears
35 percent- concentration, learning, or memory issues
34 percent- tiredness, physical or muscle weakness
33 percent- dizziness, balance issues, and disorientation
26 percent- eye pain, eye pressure
19 percent- leg cramps or neuropathy
18 percent- body pain, arthritis, sharp and stabbing pains
17 percent- flu-like symptoms, nausea
15 percent- nose bleeds and sinus issues
14 percent- coughing, asthma, and respiratory issues
13 percent- facial flushing and skin rashes
9 percent- urinary issues
9 percent- thyroid issues, endocrine disorders, diabetes
7 percent- hypertension
5 percent- changes in menstrual cycle
4 percent- changes in children’s behavior and hyperactivity
2 percent- seizures
2 percent- cancer recurrence
9 percent- none of the above
18 percent- other
25 percent- I don’t know
Even though most people won’t feel anything when they’re exposed to EMF radiation, the proteins inside their cells are being changed permanently and may lead to different symptoms in the future.
These effects can accumulate and it may take between five and ten years of exposure for them to cause a serious disease.
Some of the most commonly reported symptoms of exposure to smart meter EMF radiation are the following ones:
Headaches
Tinnitus
Sleep issues
Anxiety
Irritability
Stress
Agitation
Memory issues
Tiredness, physical weakness
Body aches
Arthritis
Chest ache
Asthma
Endocrine disorders
Why Are Smart Meters Bad for Your Health?
A lot of modern-day chronic diseases are influenced or triggered by long-term exposure to EMF radiation like wi-fi routers, cell phones, phone base stations, baby monitors, Bluetooth devices, and other wi-fi devices.
But, smart meters are by far the worst because of the persistent and powerful radiation. Although utility companies claim that the meters broadcast information once per day or only once every four hours, the truth is much different.
They broadcast intense radiation several times in a minute nonstop and two ways, up to 190,000 times per day!
How to Lower the Hypersensitivity to EMF Radiation?
If there’s a chance to use an analog meter in your State or country, consider it. The analog meters don’t have the same health risks as smart meters do.
If you already have a smart meter, make sure that no one is around it within three meters. And, never place a bed, a couch, or a table behind the wall where the meter is set.
You can also opt for a Smart Meter Guard. Though it’s pricier, it will help reduce the frequency.
You can also try making your own. Check out this video to learn more:
