If you thought that facial hair was bad, wait until your body hair starts to grow as crazy! Almost everyone has body hair, some less, some more, and we see it in different parts of the body, including the areas under the armpits, around the genitalia, on the legs and arms, etc. For some people, the struggle is even more difficult because they also experience excessive hair growth on their backs and shoulders, as noted on Positive Health Wellness.
Even though body hair is a natural occurrence in both men and women, what should one do when the hair becomes overly dark and thick and makes you look as if you have a rug on the back or chest? To address this issue, you need the right body hair removal method. Some of the most common methods include waxing, shaving, and laser hair removal; however, the problem with these methods is that they are either a short-term solution only, tend to be expensive, and some people just want a more natural approach.
With this in mind, we decided to present one of the best natural remedies to get rid of unwanted body hair easily and without spending a small fortune. Let us take a look…
Sugar, Honey & Lemon Remedy
Needed:
Some quality honey, a tbsp
Sugar, a tbsp
Lemon juice, a tbsp
Cornstarch
A wooden spoon or spatula
Waxing strips
Preparation: In a metal bowl, mix the ingredients and then put the bowl over a double boiler to heat the liquid gradually and prevent it from burning, to dissolve the sugar, and get a wax-like texture.
In case the paste is too thick, add some water to thin it out; if the paste turned out too thin, add some cornstarch to thicken it.
The procedure: First, apply some cornstarch onto the areas you will be treating to avert the wax from clinging onto the skin. With a wooden spoon or a spatula, apply the wax onto the skin in the direction in which the hairs grow. Pat it and then attach a waxing strip over it, press it gently, leave it to cool a bit and harden, and then pull fast in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Go through all hairy areas.
This method is very similar to regular waxing, but is consisted of all-natural ingredients.
