The Health Benefits of Flaxseed Water

  • Detoxifies the kidneys

Boil a tbsp of flaxseed in a cup of water. Consume half a cup every two to three hours for a period of three days. Since the water will be rather dense, make sure you dilute it with more water. If you find the taste dull- do not worry- add a squeeze of lemon juice!

  • Relieves diabetes

Flaxseed can be used to prevent blood sugar spikes and thus, it can be a potential remedy for diabetics. In a study, diabetic participants who took a tbsp of ground flaxseed on a daily basis for a month experienced a significant reduction in their blood sugar levels, but in their levels of cholesterol and triglycerides too.

  • Relieves bronchitis

Put ten grams of flaxseed in a jar and add 300 grams of boiled water. Leave it like that for 10 minutes and stir occasionally. Now, strain the content and drink half a glass of the liquid throughout the day.

  • Helps with swollen legs

Boil 4 tbsp of flaxseed in a liter of water for approximately 10 to 15 minutes. Then, close the pot and leave it for an hour. Do not strain the content, but directly consume it. You can add lemon juice or some other juice to improve the taste. Take half a glass 6 to 7 times per day for 2 to 3 weeks.
