Frozen Chocolate Banana Bites Recipe

You will need:

3 bananas, ripe yet firm

¼ cup of quality peanut butter or nut butter

10 ounces of dark chocolate, chopped

2 tsp of coconut oil, optional

Preparation:

Peel the bananas and cut them into 1/4 –inch slices. Put half of the slices aside and arrange the others on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Then, heat the peanut butter in the microwave or on the stove and once it’s smooth, spoon ¼ tsp of it on each of the slices on the sheet. Top them with the other banana slices. Then, put the sheet in the freezer for two hours.

After two hours, it’s time to prepare the chocolate. Place the chocolate in a microwave bowl with the coconut oil and heat for 30 seconds. Make sure the chocolate doesn’t burn. It needs to be melted and glossy.

In a different plate put another parchment paper. Now, take one by one bite from the freezer and dip it in the melted chocolate. Roll them properly to cover them completely with chocolate. Remove surplus chocolate and put the bananas on the new paper.

Put the bites back in the freezer to set for an hour or two. Then, transfer them in a proper container and keep them in the fridge.

Enjoy!
