Christina Koch, Record-Breaking Astronaut, Has Emotional Reuniting with Her Dog after Being 328 Days in Space

Christina Koch is an astronaut who spent more consecutive days in space than any other woman.

In a video that was recently shared on Twitter by the NASA astronaut Koch, shows her dog peeping through the window and wagging its tail excessively as Koch approaches their home.

When she opened the door after being almost for a year in space, her dog went beside herself.

Koch said she wasn’t sure who was more excited and noted how she’s glad that her dog remembers her after a year of being away.

Christina Koch, an Amazing Woman

After setting a record of 328 in space, Koch came back to Earth last Thursday and she was only 12 days shy of the American single-spaceflight record that’s held by Scott Kelly.

She broke the previous record of 288 days held by former NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson.

Koch said she was feeling great and that’s she’s enjoying her life on Earth and spending time with loved ones, on the beach, and together with LBD-her little brown dog.

Koch explains the dog is from the Humane Society and she’s the cutest ever. Koch said that seeing your pet is a symbol of coming back to the people and places you love.

She says that these days on Earth were full of excitement and wonder and notes we all live on an amazing planet.

Koch also shared a Twitter photo of her barefoot toes in the sand, arms spread wide, enjoying her beach time.
