Actor Gary Sinise Took more than Thousand Children of Fallen Soldiers to Disneyland Free of Charge

More than thousand children of fallen soldiers celebrated Christmas in 2019 in Disney World thanks to an initiative of the actor Gary Sinise.

During Christmas season in 2019, around 1750 relatives of military heroes flew to Orlando on a 5-day-break at a resort.

The actor’s foundation, Gary Sinise collaborates with American Airlines to provide free vacations to the families from the US every December around Christmas season.

His foundation explains that the holidays can be challenging for the grieving families so they host a 5-day-vacation for children of fallen soldiers and their surviving parent or a guardian.

A Therapeutic Retreat with Numerous Programs

The retreat has a therapeutic purpose with a mixture of fun and inspiring programs. The families can lean on their peers for support and the latest one was in Disneyland.

Sinise announced the departure on Twitter with more than 1000 children for the annual program Snowball Express #14.

Amazing Weekend Enjoyable for Numerous Children

Photos from the weekend showed numerous photos of the children enjoying Disney World and Sinise posing with the families.

The actor played Forrest Gump’s commanding officer in the 1994 movie and he was first approached by Snowball Express back in 2007.

This charity was launched in 2006 by several people who wanted to help heal the children of their fallen heroes.

After the actor was presented with a video of the event, he signed his support for the 2007 event and performed for children together with his Lt. Dan Band.

In 2011, the actor founded his own foundation and Snowball Express became a part of it in 2017.

His foundation is dedicated to maintaining beautiful traditions and finding new and exciting methods to serve the families of their fallen. The event was praised by many people on social media.
