200 Farmers from Nebraska Remain Silent so a Young Man Can Buy Back His Family Farm

This act of kindness done by a group of farmers in Nebraska may restore your faith in humanity.

The large group of farmers stayed silent during one auction so that one young man could win a bid and purchase his family’s farm.

The man, named David, has had farmers in his family for decades.

A lot of years ago, one of his ancestors sold the 80-acre farm to one relative who didn’t have their best interest in mind.

This caused distress in the family. So, David decided he has to do something to win back the farm.

The moment came once the land was up for auction.

Farmers Stay Silent so David Can Buy Back His Family Farm

On the day of the auction, more than 200 farmers were present, along with David and his father. The two thought that winning the auction will be hard, but they decided to not give up.

But, little did they know what the rest of the farmers would do for David and his family.

When the auction started, David and his father placed their bid. Surprisingly, no one from the farmers gave a bid.

Afterwards, they found out that the farmers had a change of heart for this land and made a joint decision not to bid so that the young farmer will be able to win back the farm for his family.

The auctioneer asked three times and had no response from other farmers. He slammed the gavel and David and his father were the winners.

David & His Father Were Amazed by This Moment at the Auction

According to David, he had 2 profoundly humbling days- one was when his son was born and the other was the day of this auction.

They were moved by the solidarity of the farmers and this act of kindness melted their hearts-it definitely did the same with us!

What are your thoughts about this move of the farmers? Do you believe there are still good people out there?
