Why many People Agree that the Shopping Cart Theory Helps Determine Who Is a Good Person

When it comes to shopping carts, what is your preference: do you return it or leave it as it is after you finish shopping?

According to the World Wide Web, you can easily tell if a person’s good or not by seeing them how they behave with their shopping carts once they don’t need them anymore.

They claim that the people who leave it in the designated area in the parking lot are good and kind people whereas those who leave it where it is aren’t.

This theory first appeared on Reddit and Twitter. The Reddit user described in detail the theory which claims that ‘shopping carts can determine if someone is a good or a bad person and member of society’.

What Do You Do with the Shopping Cart once You’re Done Shopping?

A lot of Twitter users agreed that those who don’t return the shopping cars to their designations are bad. On the other hand, many did leave them as they are because they believed someone’s job is to pick them up.

After learning about this, many of them said that this was a lame excuse and that they’ll do their best to return it.

The Shopping Cart Theory author notes that no one will be punished for not putting back the cart where it should be; however, putting it back shows the purity of your heart.

Putting it back into its place is the right thing to do. He believes those who don’t are actually savages who will only do the right thing if they’re threatened with a fine or another instance of the law.

But, It’s not just Black & White

Still, many people commented that although it’s a simple thing to return your shopping cart, it’s a much bigger challenge for people with chronic illness, disability or some other problem.

One user actually wrote that before his disability, he always put it back in; however, now he doesn’t even have the strength to get back to his vehicle. He’s trying his best when possible to park near a cart corral, but it’s not always possible.

He knows that people probably think he’s lazy; however, he’s actually in pain.

Other pompous people actually claimed that leaving it where they want is how the retail workers will get paid.

So, what about you? What do you do with your shopping cart?
