This Quinta de Pacheca estate, located in Douro, Portugal, provides its guests with the chance to stay in a giant and luxurious wine barrel.
The estate has 10 barrels like this, all of them designed by the owners of the property, Paulo Pereira and Maria do Ceu Goncalves.

The barrels are located on the 140-acre estate and every barrel is around 270 square feet.
On the outside, it’s made using simple pine wood.
On the inside, there’s an elegant bedroom and spa.
Also, you will find premium amenities such as a private bathroom with modern fixtures, a walk-in shower, a large, round bed, a skylight for stargazing, Wi-Fi, and air-conditioning.
On the estate, you can visit the 116-year-old vines and explore the grounds.
One of the representatives of this unique vineyard explains that the wine barrels provide the visitors with a one-of-a-kind experience of nature and show the importance of the Douro wine region.
During this romantic and idyllic stay in the vineyard, you can enjoy wine tastings as well as taste samples of locally-made olive oil and jam. There’s a restaurant too and tours for visiting the rooms where the wine is made.
