A pair of kind-hearted Taunton police officers who surprised one boy with a new bike received a surprise too. Dunkin’ wanted to recognize their act of kindness and gifted them with tickets to a big game.
The officers Michael Flynn and Michael Hughes got tickets for the highly-anticipated Patriots vs. Buccaneers game.
They’re really grateful and looking forward to having an amazing time.
Boy Aged Six Gets Two Bikes Stolen, One Was a Birthday Gift
Hughes said that being informed about the tickets was crazy-it’s one thing to go to a game, but to think that they’re actually going to the one for which Tom Brady is coming back to New England for is astounding.
Hughes and Flynn bought the bike for the six-year-old Bryan King after the boy had two of his previous bikes stolen within few weeks. The first bike that was stolen was actually his gift for his sixth birthday.
Police Officers Buy a Kid a Brand-New Bike
Hughes told Flynn that he wants to buy the boy a bike and Flynn told him right away ‘let’s split the cost’. They agreed and bought him a blue and green BMX and it was the same as the boy’s second stolen bike.
The officers used their own money and the gift has already made so much difference in the boy’s life. The boy’s mom said that the gift blew her day out of the water and she cried and it was all truly heartfelt.
Hughes and Flynn said about the tickets they received that it’s an honor to be recognized in this way. The police officers will be sitting five rows up from the field.
