Henry Temmermans from the Netherlands was driving on the highway A28 near Harderwijk one Friday afternoon when he spotted another car moving on the grass on the side of the highway.
When he looked into the window closer, he realized the driver wasn’t conscious.
He wanted to help so he sped up and got in front of the woman’s car and then slowed down so that the car crashes into him and he can help her out.
His plan worked and the car with the woman inside stopped. The whole situation was caught on camera by another motorist with his camera on the dashboard.
Two Motorists Help Out the Woman with a Seizure
Together with the other motorist, Temmermans got out of his car and they looked into the woman’s car together to see how she’s doing and immediately called the ambulance which arrived 10 minutes later.
The woman survived; however, she suffered several broken ribs. After his attempt to save the woman’s life, Temmermans’s car was no longer drivable and he had to call a two truck. The other driver who recorded the situation drove him home.
And, believe it or not, he turned out to be an old acquaintance from 25 years ago, when they were young and wild, explained Tammermans.
Woman’s Family Expresses Their Gratitude to Temmermans
The following day, the husband and daughter of the woman contacted Temmermans to express their immense gratitude for saving the woman’s life.
The heroic act went viral and people had so many words of praise for the quick-thinking action of Temmermans who saved the woman’s life.
Many admired his willingness to risk his life and help others. Another person wrote that this event made her cry because she also experienced a seizure while driving and her car went into a pond. Luckily, there were other motorists who called 911, otherwise, she would’ve probably drowned.
