Advises Forrest to Purchase a Ticket with a Chance to Win a $500,000 Jackpot

The 86-year-old Marion Forrest buys her Fantasy 5 lottery tickets every week at the Duke’s Mini Mart on the Frank Sinatra Drive in Rancho Mirage.

The day when she bought the winning ticket, her cashier told her that there’s a $500,000 jackpot and that she should purchase it and try her luck.

Forrest promised the clerk that if she happens to win it, she would divide the prize with him. Forrest said that she felt good when she walked out of the store because she behaved graciously and sweetly.

Forrest Did Not Win the Jackpot, but She still Divided Her Prize with the Clerk

Forrest may not have won the jackpot, but she did get a $300 prize.

She kept her promise and went to the store where the same clerk was on his shift and she gave him balloons and an envelope with $150 or half of the promised share.

Walter, the clerk who sold her the winning ticket, said he was beyond thankful for Forrest’s gift and didn’t forget to note that she’s been a loyal customer for years. The video of the good deed was viewed more than 7 million times on Instagram!
