Heartwarming: Caring Lifeguards Carry a 95-Year-Old Lady to the Beach Every Day on Her Vacation

Everyone should be able to enjoy their beach vacation, no matter their circumstance or age, right?

Without a doubt, one of the greatest pleasures in life is watching the waves and gazing at the endless horizon and these amazing lifeguards ensured this 95-year-old lady enjoys her vacation without any disturbances.

Dottie Schneider, a 95-year-old, arrived on her vacation and the lifeguards from Orange Beach in Alabama made sure Schneider had no issue digging her toes into the sand.

Schneider was accompanied by her daughter and the group of kind lifeguards carried the sweet centenarian to the beach every day because she was bound to a wheelchair and couldn’t get there properly.

Kind Lifeguards Carry a Wheelchair-Bound Lady to the Beach Every Day

Schneider was happy about her vacation at the Gulf Coast with her daughter Kimberly; however, when they got there, they realized that going to the beach wouldn’t be possible for her.

Since she’s in a wheelchair, there’s no adequate way for her to reach the beach in it and walking was also not an option.

One lifeguard from the Beach Safety Division noticed that the mom and daughter were trying to figure out how to get to the beach and this is when he offered his help. He solved the problem right away.

He first transferred the lady in his beach patrol vehicle and then carried her in his arms to the place in the sand. This good deed didn’t stop there.

Since the mom and daughter would be there for a week, the lifeguard gave them the field office’s number so that they contact them when they’re ready for the beach and someone will be there to help them.

During those seven days, the lifeguards from the Beach Safety Division made sure Schneider reached her favorite spot on the beach.

The Internet Fell in Love with the Kind Gesture of these Lifeguards

In a post the Orange Beach Surf Rescue shared on their page, they wrote that lifeguards are servants of the public and that they couldn’t be happier to help.

They added that Ms. Schneider recently visited them at Orange Beach and that she couldn’t walk through the sand on her own and they immediately stepped in.

According to Schneider’s daughter, this service made all the difference on their vacation. They’re forever indebted to the Orange Beach Surf Rescue. She added that the guys who work there made her mom feel special and not like she’s a burden on someone.

When their vacation ended, they said it was magical and much better than going to Disney World. These guys, according to Schneider’s daughter, earned their wings for their treatment of her mother because each of them sincerely cared.
