Colleen Le will never forget going under the knife to give her boyfriend the ultimate gift: a kidney.
Le who’s 30 years old says she was nervous about the surgery, especially since the biggest one she had before was getting her wisdom tooth out.
She was anxious about what to expect; however, she was certain that this will change her boyfriend’s life for the better.
However, her kindness and generosity didn’t seem to have the same effect on their relationship.

The California resident opened up about her ordeal on TikTok in 2020, saying that her ex cheated on her only several months after the organ donation happened back in 2016.
Le said how she trusted him completely and her story has since gone viral. She never thought he would be capable of betraying her like that and this threw her off.
She knew that her ex had chronic kidney disease at the beginning of their relationship in 2015. Near the end of 2015, she got tested to find out if she was a match for the kidney donation.
May 2016 was the month of the surgery.
The Betrayal Happened Several Months After the Transplant, Says Le
Seven months after the surgery, Le’s ex went to Las Vegas for a friend’s bachelor party. When he got back, he confessed to Le that he was unfaithful.
She had to go to work that night because she used to work at Disneyland, the place where they say dreams come true and you have to be happy. Le says they sent her home right after.
Today, she works at a fire alarm installation company. The confession of her boyfriend wasn’t the end of the relationship. Le actually wanted to make it work. Still, things fell apart three months later when they got into an argument.
He told her that if God wanted them back together, he would bring them back together in the end. This is when he broke things off and blocked her. He stopped answering any of her calls and messages.
Despite being a very hard situation to handle at the time, Le said she’s now made peace with it and is now capable of “laughing about it”. When the pandemic started, she opened up a TikTok and shared her experience there.
She still Feels Good about Saving Someone’s Life, despite Everything
One of her recent TikTok videos shows her making hilarious faces representing her reaction and the description says: “when you remember one of your kidneys is in your ex’s body”.
However, she sums up her attitude and views on the situation by captioning the video: “no regrets though.”
She stated that she could never regret saving a person’s life and that it still feels good. Le, who once wanted to burn the transplant certificate she got, is now glad that she didn’t go through with it.
Le says she’s heard that her ex has a new life, though he never reached out again. He’s not in California anymore and he’s now married.
Her followers are eager to know him, but she’s kept his identity a secret because she knows how “crazy the internet can get”.
