Woman in Switzerland Raised Two Lions That Were Confiscated by the Authorities: This Happened when They Reunited Seven Years Later

A heartwarming video went viral on social media in the middle of July. It showed a woman hugging two lions in Switzerland. It’s still attracting so much attention among people, especially animal lovers.

The video shared by Tansu Yegen today has 71k likes and has been retweeted more than 10.7k times. The two lions are seen running toward a woman who raised them. She came back to see them after being apart for quite a long period of time.

They gave her endless kisses and hugs through the fence, as the video shows. According to the story, this woman raised the lions until the authorities had to transfer the outgrown animals to a ZOO.

Seven years after their separation, the woman decided to visit them in their new home. Although things have certainly changed, these lions have never forgotten who was there for them.

Heartwarming & Shocking: Woman Hugging with Lions

In the video, it’s clearly seen that the two lions are close to the woman who’s wearing a white jumper with a print of a lion on the back. She seems to struggle under their massive weight but she’s so happy to see the lions that she raised.

The lions are licking her and nibbling her hair. They’re happy to see her. The woman is hugging them back and tries to get away from their bites; however, she doesn’t seem to be bothered or scared at all.

People who commented on the video said that this is proof of the unconditional love that animals give.

Others added that humans are the worst creatures on the planet. They were amazed that the animals remember the woman and praised them. The rescued animals live in Malkia Park in Slovakia, founded by Klaudia Kollar. It’s not like a ZOO, but more like a safe haven for animals.

Kollar rescues circus animals and gives them an opportunity to live life like they should, rather than being used as slaves.

The woman visits the sanctuary every few months.

The available information notes that the woman gave the lion cubs to a Swiss ZOO some seven years ago because she couldn’t take care of them anymore. They were becoming big.

This video came weeks after one lion whisperer was filmed leaping into a river and playing with big, wild cats. The abandoned lion cubs were lying in a ditch in South Africa when Kevin Richardson rescued them.
