An 8-year-old boy warmed people’s hearts online after he was kind enough to help out his autistic classmate.

Connor, the autistic boy, had a hard time adjusting to his first day of school. He was crying all by himself unti Christian, his classmate saw him and came over to help.

Christian’s mom, Courtney Moore, shared a heartwarming photo of the two classmates. Christian was holding Connor’s hand and she wrote that she was so proud of her son for comforting Connor.

He saw that Connor was balled up in a corner and crying so he went to console him. He also took his hand and walked with him inside the school.

For Christian’s mom, it’s an honor to be able to raise such a compassionate and loving kid. He has a big heart and this was a memorable first day of school.

The mom of Connor, April Crites, was beyond thankful for this amazing gesture. She worries on a daily basis whether her son will be bullied for his differences and Christian’s act warmed her heart.

She also emphasized that if more kids were like him, she wouldn’t have to worry about such things in the first place.

She thanked Christian and let the family know how much he helped her autistic son.

Moore was touched by her response. She mentioned that her son also struggles with speech so both boys are one-of-a-kind in their own way.

She’s hopeful that this will be the start of a lovely friendship.

After Moore shared the photo of the two boys holding hands and dressed up in their lovely school uniforms, the story went viral.

The image has been shared more than 3000 times!

The Wichita Public School District also shared this lovely story hoping to inspire people to show more compassion and kindness to those around them.
