Unfortunately, on March 31st, Nipsey Hussle was murdered in front of his store, The Marathon, in Los Angeles. Now, Nick Cannon will maybe try to finish the late rapper’s documentary dedicated to the controversial herbalist we know as Dr. Sebi.
Cannon wrote on a photo with Hussle that he shared on social media that he will pick up where Hussle left off. He considers this documentary to be a marathon and that he will pick up the baton.
He also wrote in captions on photos: “Because they can’t kill us all! Spiritual warfare is real and in full effect and now your spirit is protecting your community eternally! Your words, your steps, your walk always was and always will be solid. Now, your message is my message! Your work is my work! Keep shining! Cosmic Love my Brotha!”
Sharing the Story of Dr. Sebi Will not Stop
Cannon also shared several videos featuring Dr. Sebi and in every caption, he mentioned Hussle in some way. Some claim that writing “can’t kill us all” is probably a response to the conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Hussle.
Namely, some people think that he was murdered by the government because he wanted to reveal the true story about Dr. Sebi’s life before his own mysterious death. In fact, a lot of people speculated that Sebi was also killed by the government due to being a threat to the pharmaceutical industry if he really found a cure for AIDS as he claimed.
In a 2018 interview, the rapper shared his plans for the documentary about Dr. Sebi whose real name was Alfredo Darrington Bowman. The focus of the documentary was a trial which Dr. Sebi won back in 1985.
He was trialed in New York due to putting an ad in the newspaper claiming that he cured AIDS. But, as Hussle explained, he beat the case and went to federal court the next day and also beat that case. However, nobody talked about this important happening.
Dr. Sebi died in 2016 at the age of 82 while in custody due to being accused of money laundering in Honduras. Hussle once said “Why do they kill all holistic doctors? You’re messing up the medical industry. You’re short-stopping his grind. They checking billions. You’re playing with some pharmaceutical money.”
