Glyphosate Detox: How to Rid Your Body of Harmful Herbicide & Pesticide Residues

Glyphosate seems to be everywhere- from the air we breathe and the water we drink to the foods and drinks we consume.

It’s a disease that’s harming us and our planet. And, to make things worse, it’s also starting to show up in our bodies!

Glyphosate has a long list of side effects and can also lead to cancer and autism.

This is why detoxifying from it is pivotal- not only will detoxes help us remove it from deep inside the tissues, but we’ll also remove other pesticides, toxins, and herbicides from the body.

What Is Glyphosate?

Glyphosate is the major active ingredient in Roundup herbicides, but also in 700 other products, including household ones and non-Roundup herbicides.

Originally, it was developed to be an industrial cleansing product that can chelate heavy metals and other substances from pipes.

When it was discovered that it can destroy microbes, it was transformed into the widely used weed killer in modern-day agriculture.

Unfortunately, almost 200 million pounds of it are dumped on American soil on a yearly basis, including in agriculture and home usage for gardens and yards.

Glyphosate has been found by several studies to be a major threat to the human health and the EPA and the FDA only rely on tests by the manufacturer, making the results biased.

There are no regulations that help protect us, animals, and our environment.

Glyphosate is used to avert weeds from growing, as well as a drying agent that’s sprayed on crops like sugarcane and wheat.

How to Detox from Glyphosate? Avoid These Crops

When doing a glyphosate cleanse, you need to stop consuming the foods which are sprayed with it.

This refers to maize, soy grain, canola, wheat, barley, and edible beans, as well as grapes, rice, and almonds.

Moreover, according to EPA, there are non-organic crops which are sprayed with it.

They are: alfalfa, almonds, apples, apricots, artichokes, asparagus, avocados, barley, beans, blueberries, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, caneberries, canola, canteloupes, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cherries, chicory, corn, cotton, cucumbers, dates, dry beans and peas, fallow, figs, garlic, grapefruit, grapes, hazelnuts, kiwis, lemons, lettuce, nectarines, oats, olives, onions, oranges, pasture, peaches, peanuts, pears, green peas, pecans, peppers, pistachios, plums, prunes, pluots, pomegranates, potatoes, pumpkins, rice, sorghum, soybeans, spinach, squash, strawberries, sugar beets, sugarcane, sunflowers, sweet corn, tangelos, tangerines, tobacco, tomatoes, walnuts, watermelon, and wheat.

Some of these are sprayed with more than 100,000 pounds of glyphosate and others with more than 1,000,000 pounds on a yearly basis.

Another beneficial way to get rid of glyphosate from your system is to opt for organic and GMO-free food whenever possible.

And, add powerful herbs to your diet like garlic, turmeric, cilantro, adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha, rhodiola, etc.

Moreover, some studies have found that specific extracts from plants can restore CYP enzyme activity that glyphosate can disrupt. These are radish, dandelion, milk thistle, burdock root, and several others.

Other beneficial tips to detox the body is to use infrared sauna, eat foods abundant in probiotics, avoid animal products like dairy and meat, and not using herbicides and pesticides in your garden.
