A photo of a newborn with long and pointed nails went viral with people warning that these ‘long claws’ may be very dangerous.
One social media user, who remains unknown, faced criticism after she shared a snap on Facebook that shows a thumb of a woman holding a tiny hand of a baby.
The baby seems to have had a manicure and lengthy fake nails put on.
The image has since gone viral on Twitter and the woman also wrote how she ‘can do your babies nails…cheap prices’.
This can Be a Dangerous Thing, People Criticized the Woman
Many of the people commented how long nails on a baby are a dangerous thing.
One person commented how the baby’s nails are already sharp enough so making claws on her daughter is harmful and added she will rather pass.
The photos show the baby’s hand that appears to have been given various manicures and lengthy nails to her already tiny hands. The photos show that the girl has fake nails on each of her fingers.
They’re pointy and seem sharp whereas in another image, they seem to be more rounded. Seems the mom was proud with her skills at different edges.
Fellow Parents Were also Outraged from this Move
This viral photo made some Reddit users outraged- these people, who said that they’re parents themselves, wrote that we’re supposed to keep the child’s nails short to prevent them from hurting themselves.
So, it’s not difficult to imagine why this is a very bad idea. Some even went to that extent and said how long nails on a baby are ‘trashy and stupid’.
Babies can poke themselves in the eyes and even when they don’t have long nails, scratch marks can appear.
Another user wrote how she has nothing against painting their nails, but putting long and fake ones is too dangerous.
