Soothing, All-Natural Remedy for Sunburns with Lavender Oil & Aloe Vera

The ingredients are the ideal combo to remedy the burns, lower the inflammation, and hydrate the skin.

DIY Remedy for Sunburns with Aloe Vera & Lavender Oil

You need: 

A saucepan

Two inches of water

Glass jar

Coconut oil

Aloe vera juice 

Wooden spoon 

Lavender essential oil, 10 drops

Peppermint essential oil, 10 drops

A spray bottle

Prep:

Add the water into the saucepan and bring it to medium-low heat. In the glass jar, add the aloe vera and the coconut oil. 

Put the jar in the saucepan and stir the content with the spoon. Wait for the mixture to start liquefying and then combine everything together.

When the mixture becomes homogenous, remove it from the saucepan and leave the jar to cool down. Add the lavender oil and mix. Transfer the mixture to the spray bottle. 

Keep it in a cool place or in the fridge.

How to Use:

Apply it gently onto the sunburned areas and massage it gently into the skin.

  • Coconut oil is rich in natural antioxidants that will keep the skin safe from UV damage, free radicals, and environmental effects. 
  • Aloe vera juice is made from aloe plant leaves. It’s abundant in vitamins and antioxidants that will heal the skin. Apply it topically to relieve sunburns and other skin conditions.
